SOUTH:   The Camino Real from Mexico, before ending in Santa Fe, passed through this area of phenomenal geology, and areas rich in history, present and past.  Hi-Lights include El Ranchos de las Golondrinas (living Spanish Colonial Museum),  ancient petroglyphs, Cochiti Pueblo & the other-worldly Kasha-Katuwe (Tent Rock’s) Nat’l  Mon.

SOUTHEAST:
 This beautiful area spotlights a vivid example of where early and arriving cultures met, co-existed, traded, and warred against each other.  Sites and sights include: Pecos Nat’l Mon., the Glorieta Battlefield (Gettysburg of the West), Jim Gordon’s Antique Gun Museum and the gorgeous Pecos River Valley.
